Papa, Nana, and Mama's Spring 2013 Visit

About a month ago, Papa, Nana, and Mama came out to visit us from Oklahoma! We had a really fun and great time with them. One of the days, we drove down to a city outside of Napa, California and explored Safari West. Safari West is a wildlife reserve in California that feels like you are on an African safari. To start the excursion we were assigned a guide, who gave us a walking tour around the grounds. We saw lots of different types of birds, also monkeys, cheetahs, and a porcupine! Then we loaded up into a jeep to discover many more animals.

 Recently Emily was in the play Annie Jr.! She played Kate, who is an orphan. She had so much fun!

Two Fridays, Two Field Trips

Two friday's ago, we went to Apple Hill with our homeschool group. They spoke to us about how they picked apples. There was also a nature trail at this farm, the group I went with got lost, and were hiking for about 45 minutes longer than planned. :) 

This last friday, we went to Dixon, where there is the worlds largest corn maze! It is in the Guinness Book of World Records! It took us about an hour to go through it, it was tricky! 

This is the only good picture we took at Apple Hill.

Ashley's New Soccer Season

Wow, this is my first post since March! I decided it was probably time for a new one. :) Three weeks ago, my soccer season started! This is my second year playing. I have a new team this year, and it's exciting because a lot of my friends are on it. The first game we won 8-0, the second game we won     3-1, and the third game we won 4-0!

Jumping in the Rain!

It has been raining all day today. Mom had this crazy idea for Emily and I to get into our swimsuits and rain jackets and jump on the trampoline. So, we did and it was really fun (and cold). :) It felt really good to get into a warm shower afterword though!  

We can't wait to do it again!
