Jumping in the Rain!

It has been raining all day today. Mom had this crazy idea for Emily and I to get into our swimsuits and rain jackets and jump on the trampoline. So, we did and it was really fun (and cold). :) It felt really good to get into a warm shower afterword though!  

We can't wait to do it again!

Disney Cruise

Last week our family had the amazing opportunity to go on a Disney Cruise! We left at Port Canaveral, Florida, and sailed in the Bahamas. We had a great time. We  hung by the pool, went to Disney's private island, ate lots of food, :) and just relaxed. Here are some pictures of our trip.

The night before the cruise, when we were in Florida, we went to Medieval Times.  It is  a medieval tournament where there are knights jousting and sword fighting. They are doing all this while we are eating a medieval style meal(with our hands). :)

While we were at Castaway Cay, Dad and I got in the water with stingrays! (In case you were wondering, the water was NOT warm!) :) We got to feed them and swim with them. It was a really cool experience.

Every night we received a towel animal in our room. This was our favorite, a monkey. :)

The Amazing Flying Sloans!

On Friday we took a very interesting and educational field trip to learn how to Fly!

Yes you read this correctly, we went to a special place that teaches you how to fly.  We went to iFly in Union City (near San Francisco) for a homeschool field trip with other homeschool families and we all tried our hand at indoor skydiving...what an experience.  At iFly we are all educated on gravity, drag, and terminal velocity then we suit up and all get a turn at flying.  Each flight lasts for 1 minute and is aided by and instructor to help with technique, and to make sure we don't fly back home on our own.  We had a great time and look forward to flying again soon.

Christmas Tree!

We had a funny Christmas tree experience this year! Let me tell you about it.

Usually, when we buy a tree, we put lights, ribbon, and ornaments on right away. Well, we put up the lights right away, but the rest we didn't do because I guess it was too late at night. We planned to do the rest the next day! The next day dad put up the ribbon.

We were really busy people the next few days, so thats why it took 3 days to put the angel on top of the tree. Well, Dad was cutting the top of the tree to fit the angel, and he accidentally cut the string of lights! So, he went out to about 4 different stores, to look for the kind of lights we wanted. They were all sold out. He came home and we discovered that we had a couple of strands of lights we could use from outside! Haha so much for going to 4 stores. :) We had to take down the lights and the ribbon, then we put up the other lights and the ribbon(again). The next day, we put up some of the ornaments, and the next day the rest of them. But now the tree is doing great! Hopefully it stays that way. :) ~Ashley~

The Jackson Family Visit!

We were so thankful to be able to have Nick, Stephanie, Ben, and Hannah out to visit! Emily and I(Mom and Dad too) had SO much fun playing with Ben and Hannah.

Charla and Gingers Visit

Charla and Ginger (Nana and Gigi) came out to visit us for the weekend! Nana is dad's mom and Gigi is dad's sister.  It was so much fun! We kinda forgot to take pictures :) but here are some we took.

We went to a restaurant named Gingers one night for dinner. Here is Ginger in front of Ginger's! :)  

They got to watch both of our soccer games on Saturday! Then they were inspired to play soccer in the backyard!

Sammy's Tricks

We LOVE our dog Sammy!

Look at him as a puppy. SOOO cute! He would love to just snuggle with you all day!

But sleeping is not the only thing Sammy can do. He can do tricks! Here are some videos of Sammy and his AMAZING tricks! :) (don't worry, we aren't torturing him, he loves it! Especially because we give him cheese!
